Long Time

I can't make this long as I have to leave the office in about 10 minutes so I can meet with the volunteer coordinator at Hospice. The videos are finally in and I am going to train to be a volunteer. See at the end of last year (the day after Christmas to be specific) my father died of esophagal cancer. He had hospice care and the hospice my family used was terrible. They never came to sit with him so my mother could get out of the house for a little bit, and they were super judgemental. When I came home on Christmas day the nurse looked at me like the scum of the earth for not having stopped my life here to go home. I know that isn't what my father wanted. Oh and the day he died it took them four hours to come to our house and pronounce him. Luckily my parents' neighbor is a nurse and she was able to help us. Anyway, I really wanted to start working with the hospice up here so that other people wouldn't have to suffer through such things.
