Sunshine on My Shoulders
It's hot today. Then again I think that it is hot everyone (if it is actually temperate somewhere today that's where I wish I were). I parked in the garage since I have to leave work early but now am grateful to not have to hike the six blocks up hill in 100* weather.
Updates, updates, updates. . .
D- and I started our ballroom dancing lessons last week (we have another tonight) and are doing fairly well. Our instructor was amazed the we understood stepping on the beat and were fairly quick to learn. Suprisingly enough the whole thing was D-'s idea; not only that but he remembered for over three weeks that it was something he was interested in doing.
Thinking about joining the gym. I have a week free membership and really like it. Yesterday I walked on the treadmill while watching "A Night at the Roxbury". Today I think I am going to go to an aquatic class even though I am a little worried that it is secretly an old people class. Hell, it shouldn't matter anyway. Tomorrow I am going to the pilot's class for certain though.
I've been put in charge of all Office Depot orders from our department. It'll be cool, I always like getting new tasks to do at work. Yet it has occurred to me that this is pretty risky considering my great love of office supplies. Must be hereditary as my grandfather and great grandfather had a major office supply business. This week I have refrained myself from purchasing anything more than a small rolodex so I don't have to pull up everyone's address/e-mail/fax number every month when it comes time to send out reports.
We had the children this weekend and I think it would have been a bit more stressful had D- not taken them to his mother's on Saturday while he helped his aunt move. I had the place to myself all day long, except for when SS and I went to lunch and shopping. I had forgotten though how much I dislike clothes shopping with SS. She's one who tries everything on and debates on what color she will get for hours on end. Blue or pink bra? A certain fabric and cut. . .it never ends. All I bought was two books and some "Very Sexy" shampoo and conditioner to which Dave said "It just smells like Lever 2000". Not the response I desired.
But now I'm trying to work my way through another week of spending my days alphabetizing medical claims.
