SUV trials and tribulations

When I was in the sixth grade my mother purchased her first SUV, a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Since that time she has also driven an Explorer and an Escape. Now my mother refuses to drive anything but a vehicle like this (I drive a small car, and she can't handle driving it). Granted this would be understandable, you get used to driving a certain type of car and it is hard to switch around. But my mother also has a complete inability to drive her own car. Whenever we have to park somewhere she makes sure there are no cars in the vacinity. Oh and take for instance when she got her Escape and all she could talk about was how much "get up and go" her car had now. Only when I rode with here in it, she took forever to get up to speed and even then we were going 10 mph under the speed limit.

Her dream is to one day have a Hummer because she thinks it will make her look powerful. God help us all if she had to navigate that through the streets of my hometown.
