The Crazy Cat Woman, and Other Tales form the Weekend

So D- moved his stuff out this weekend, and it made me think about how there is really no proper etiquette as to what to do when an ex moves out of the apartment the two of you shared. Do you offer to help or does that look too pushy? Do you keep doing what you were doing to begin with or does that look too indifferent? I just stayed downstairs and offered a few times to get the door. I have turned the former children's room into a sweet little guest room, so all I need now are some guests to come and stay the night.

The rest of the weekend was peaceful. Friday I went to dinner and the movies with a friend who has recently found herself in a new relationship. She is completely obsessed with this guy and several of us feel she may find herself on the other side of a moral delimna within herself. All she talks about is him, she spends half the night text messaging him (even while driving!), and she tells people she runs into all about her relationship. Yes, I understand that this is all new and exciting, but as the rest of us are breaking up or still looking for someone we really don't want to listen to her talk about it for hours on end. Saturday and Sunday I watched some really bad Movies of the week taped off both Lifetime and Sci-Fi. The ones on Sci-Fi looked as if they had so much potential but they failed miserably. Plus, I've decided that I really don't like Sharon Lawrence.

Time to go grab some lunch.
